Blood Cells by Species
This part of the module shows composites of the typical blood cells in each species. These images can serve as references for you as you examine blood smears and perform differential counts. The characteristic features of the leukocytes in dog, cat, horse, and cow blood have been described in the leukocyte section and are not repeated.

Each composite also contains a panel illustrating red cells and platelets typical of the species.
